Using ATMs can still be challenging for many users, especially the elderly and younger generations. Transactions are often complicated, requiring users to act quickly in a busy environment while also dealing with language barriers, confusing interfaces, and security concerns. Current ATM solutions often lack personalization, convenience, and inclusivity, making it difficult for users to have a smooth and confident experience.

After extensive research and discussion, I defined the problem as:

Help users complete ATM transactions in a simpler, safer, and more intuitive way, while meeting the needs of different age groups and backgrounds through digital innovation and multi-language support.

Our ATM UX/UI solution addresses this need by simplifying transaction flows, supporting multiple languages, and introducing mobile-integrated features such as QR code withdrawals to create a more inclusive and user-friendly experience.

A lot of people didn’t know what Jolly Bubble is. It’s an indoor playground, but new visitors were always confused:

What is this place? What do I do first?

So we made a Section called Steps to Fun to explain it.

But that flyer had the same problem is too much information. Five steps, long paragraphs, two QR codes, and four pricing tables, all on one page. It explained everything, but nobody wanted to read it. Parents just wanted to know: what do I do first?

But that flyer had the same problem is too much information. Five steps, long paragraphs, two QR codes, and four pricing tables, all on one page. It explained everything, but nobody wanted to read it. Parents just wanted to know: what do I do first?

I redesigned it to be simple and visual, not text-heavy.

  • Removed the pricing. That doesn’t need to be on this flyer — it belongs somewhere else.
  • Made it a loop, not a list. Six steps in a circle, following the real path people walk: sign waiver → wristband → socks → scan in → play → scan out.
  • Used the Jolly Bubble mascots to show each step instead of generic icons. A picture is faster than a sentence.
  • Cut every step down to 2–3 words. No paragraphs.

Now people can understand the whole process in one glance — no reading needed. It feels fun, not like a rulebook.

Design Concepts

The design and delivery  process focused on creating an inclusive and efficient ATM experience for all users. By analyzing user pain points, the design emphasizes accessibility, safety, and consistency across various ATM systems. Each concept was developed to ensure a smoother interaction and practical delivery in real-life usage.

Universal Compatibility

Many older ATMs cannot support NFC or cardless features. By updating the user interface instead of the hardware, users can still enjoy mobile cash withdrawal functions, ensuring compatibility across all machines.

Inclusive & Accessible Design

The interface is designed to be user-friendly for everyone — including seniors and people with visual impairments. Flexible button layouts and touch-screen options improve accessibility and make interactions simple and intuitive.

Quick & Secure Mobile Withdrawal

The mobile cash withdrawal feature allows users to get cash quickly and securely, especially during busy hours. It enhances safety by reducing physical contact and minimizing card-related risks.
